1 Million Cups NE Tarrant
In November 2020, the Kauffman Foundation approved the creation of a 1 Million Cups (1MC) Community to serve the entrepreneurs in Northeast Tarrant County. 1MC is an open-invitation group of leaders in business, government, and civic organizations committed to helping entrepreneurs find solutions to their business challenges within the local entrepreneurship ecosystem. Every week, entrepreneurs across the nation present their business opportunities and challenges to gain insight on how they can adapt and grow.
North Richland Hills Economic Development department is an Organizer for the “1MC NE Tarrant Community” alongside business leaders, other local cities and community leaders, with the goal to connect businesses to the tools they need to achieve success. Based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and engage their communities over a million cups of coffee, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation developed 1 Million Cups in 2012—a free program designed to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs around the country. Through the power of volunteers, 1 Million Cups has grown to more than 160 communities.
1MC encourages weekly participation to connect entrepreneurs to potential solutions. Participants benefit from the ideas and experience of others. These sessions are scheduled for every Wednesday at 9am throughout the year. There is no fee for participation other than your time and the willingness to share ideas and solutions.
The first 1MC NE Tarrant meeting is scheduled for January 20, 2021 at 9am. Please visit https://www.1millioncups.com/netarrantcounty to learn more about the “1MC NE Tarrant Community”, apply to present or find additional details about weekly meetings.
