For a second year in a row, North Richland Hills made the list of the Top 10 Safest Neighborhoods in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. NRH tied for first on this year’s Dallas Morning News list.
The survey conducted in conjunction with this list found that safety accounts for more than half of a person’s decision on where to call home, making NRH’s low crime rate an important factor to the growth and development of our community.
The City of North Richland Hills was one of ten North Texas communities that had virtually no serious crime, according to local law enforcement data, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the North Central Texas Council of Governments. Neighborhoods in Plano, Frisco, Keller, McKinney, and Richardson also made the list of safest communities. The newspaper analyzed per capita rates of burglaries and aggravated assaults, the serious crimes most likely to affect residents, in more than 1,100 census tracts in Collin, Dallas, Denton, Rockwall and eastern Tarrant counties.
