Fatburger to open first Texas location in North Richland Hills

Fatburger and sister concept Buffalo’s Express will open the restaurant chain’s first Texas location at The Crossing in North Richland Hills. The parent company, Fat Brands Inc., based in Beverly Hills, California, is partnering with franchisee The Ever Suite Group LLC to open the 2,300-square-foot co-branded restaurant that will serve made-to-order hamburgers and chicken wings. An early 2020 opening is planned.

Earlier this year, Fat Brands announced a deal with Ever Suite to open locations in Texas. Currently the chain has locations on the West Coast and Canada, as well as a few locations on the East Coast and overseas.

Merrel Moore, vice president in the Retail Division at Henry S. Miller, and Michael Gresback, associate in the division, represented the landlord, HSM Crossing LLC. Tim McNutt with DBA Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant. Kroger and Kohl’s anchor The Crossing, which is located at the northwest corner of Grapevine Highway and Precinct Line Road. Other tenants include Sports Clips, Sally Beauty Supply, Kumon Learning Center and First Choice ER.

Fat Brands is the corporate owner of Fatburger, a brand launched by founder Lovie Yancey in Los Angeles more than 70 years ago and a favorite of such stars as Redd Foxx and Ray Charles, according to the company’s website. Each Fatburger is made-to-order with add-ons ranging from bacon and onion rings, to cheese, chili and egg. They also offer an “impossible” burger.

Fat Brands currently owns eight restaurant brands: Fatburger, Buffalo’s Cafe, Buffalo’s Express, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Elevation Burger, Yalla Mediterranean and Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses, and franchises over 400 units worldwide.
